ANALISIS PERFORMANSI ENGINE SETELAH OVER SIZEBLOK SILINDER 0,50 mm PADA HONDA ASTREA GRAND 4 LANGKAH

Abstract


Motorcycles are one of the transportation tools that often used by humans who apply the engine of piston fuel motor type and can convert the chemical energy of fuel into mechanical energy.After a long time usage, an internal combustion engine will experience wear on the cylinder wall. To overcome the wear rate, oversizing can be done.The study was conducted from July to August which took place at the BJM workshop located at A. Yani Street, No. 22 RT 01, Sukaraja Village, Sepaku District, Penajam Paser Regency, North Kalimantan.Researchers conducted observations and tests on Honda Astrea Grand motorcycle to get data needed in calculating the engine performance.After doing the research and theoretical calculation, by doing the oversizing cylinder block by 0.50 mm, the step volume increases from 97 cm3 to 99 cm3. Moreover, with the increasing of average pressure, the power generated on the engine also increases from 1.2Hp to 1.3Hp
