KAJIAN PENGARUH PENCEMARAN BUTIRAN BATU BARA PADA PASIR SUNGAI MAHAKAM SEBAGAI BAHAN KONSTRUKSI BETON

Abstract


Exploitation of coal mining activities that implement open pit mining negative impact on the environment, such as ecosystems and pollution around the mine area, especially the Mahakam River polluted by coal on river sand grains are widely used as a construction material in the surrounding community. This research was conducted with the objective (1) To determine the level of pollution in the coal grains of sand (2) Knowing the Mahakam river sand quality as a result of the concrete mix granular coal pollution that occurs (3) The content of the sand grains of coal in the Mahakam River as a concrete construction materials still can be tolerated while still meeting quality.This research was conducted testing by taking samples of sand to Samarinda Tenggarong segment is divided into five locations, were tested for the percentage content of grains of coal in the sand, how strong press 'bk) with K-250 plan and how much percentage contentcharacteristics ( of grain coal in the sand which is still tolerated by the still qualify.Results of the study (1) The content of the sand grains of coal in the Mahakam River Tenggarong segment to Samarinda range of 2.60 to 6.50% (2) compressive strength concrete characteristics that meet the quality that is above the K-250 just on a sample of five locations namely Tenggarong while location others are less then K-250 (3) Percentage content of grains of coal in the Mahakam river sand which is still tolerated and still qualify a maximum of 2.75%.
