Abstract

ABSTRACT

MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) is part of an online learning system that is applied openly with the aim of connecting subjects with each other with an unlimited area and can be accessed through the website. In Indonesia, MOOC is currently being offered by various universities with various methods and platforms. MOOC technology is something that is widely discussed by the global community. MOOC is a new, learner-centered learning method and uses technology with unlimited reach, across the boundaries of classrooms, schools, campuses, and even countries, allowing learners to be able to acquire knowledge and / or skills and even be taught by professors from world renowned universities. MOOC itself is one student-centered learning, where as it has been studied that student-centered learning has various advantages. These advantages include learners can be more active in constructing their knowledge, can be more critical and analytical thinking, can develop problem solving skills and so on. A new approach in MOOC technology in this case will be more specialized in programming subjects, so that the subjects can be mastered by students well.
