Abstract

ADOPTION OF CULTURE DIMENSION IN THE TECHNOLOGY ACCEPTANCE MODEL : LITERATURE REVIEW

Electronic services are now a necessity for government agencies to provide efficient and innovative services. However, not many government agencies or organizations have succeeded in implementing it properly. There are several factors that can affect the level of acceptance of technology, including the cultural dimension. Culture is an important aspect because the culture of each individual is different from one another, then a collection of individuals who have cultural dimensions will produce cultural characteristics in each group or environment. The purpose of this study is to identify the cultural dimensions that affect the level of technology acceptance. The cultural dimension in question consists of power distance, uncertainty avoidance, individualism, masculinity and long term orientation. The method used is by conducting a literature study of several scientific articles related to the influence of culture on the use of e-governement so that it can produce an appropriate model recommendation to identify the level of technology acceptance. The results of the study based on literature studies show that five external variables of cultural dimensions have a positive relationship with perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use and meet the criteria for predicting attitudes towards technology acceptance.
