Abstract

THE COMPARISON OF PILE BEARING CAPACITY ANALYSIS USING
LABORATORY AND FIELD TEST ANALYSIS WITH PILE DRIVING
ANALYZER (CASE STUDY IN PT. KALTIM AMONIUM NITRATE
PROJECT IN BONTANG CITY)

The foundation is the main part of the substructure that is useful for supporting the superstructure with the depth of hard soil is difficult to be reached. In the process of calculation and implementation in the field, there are often difficulties in determining the right soil parameters. The selected location is in the PT. Kaltim Ammonium Nitrate in Bontang City. The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the bearing capacity of a single pile foundation with 50 cm of diameter and 20 m of depth, based on laboratory test data and field test data based on N-SPT and CPT to the PDA test from the field. The calculation of the carrying capacity of a single pile foundation is carried out by several methods, namely: laboratory data using the Tomlinson method, CPT data using the Bagemann method, and  N-SPT data using the Luciano Decourt method. Calculations are made based on 5 points; S2, S4, BH 2, BH 9, & BH 11 which will be compared with the PDA test data. Based on the results of the analysis of the three methods, it can be concluded that the Tomlinson method has a smaller qU value in SZ-2 with the results of qU = 99.82 tons compared to the PDA Test value is about 338 tons (-%). Secondly, the Bagemann method has a greater qU value using CPT data in SZ-7 with the result of qU = 897.42 tons compared to PDA Test value is about 355.3 tons (+ %). While the Luciano Decourt method has a qU value close to the PDA test value from the SZ-7 pile point, the results are qU = 379.75 tons compared to PDA Test value is about 355.3 tons (%), so the value of the N-SPT test is considered more suitable for use in analytical calculations in the case.
