ANALISIS HASIL TULISAN MAHASISWA D3 AKUNTANSI DI POLITEKNIK NEGERI SAMARINDA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis   hasil tulisan mahasiswa dan strategi yang terindikasi dalam proses menulis tersebut. Data observasi (field note), wawancara dan dokumentasi adalah sumber data,sedangkan responden berjumlah Sembilan orang. Perlakuan  dalam proses menulis di bagi tiga tahapan,tahapan pertama, responden di minta  mencari kosa kata dalam Basic Engish 1  modul yang telah ditetapkan, lalu di minta membuat kalimat sederhana, perlakuan ke dua, hasil kosa kata terkumpul,lalu membuat cerita pendek dalam satu paragraph, lalu perlakuan ke tiga,  dengan kosa kota yang di acak dan ditambah dengan kosa kata lain, lalu membuat cerita kembali.  Hasil data tulisan di analisa dengan teori Langan (2008) dan strategi dalam proses menulis dengan teori Mohammadi,Abidin,Fong (2012).Hasil    menunjukkan bahwa dari sembilan responden, delapan responden menghasilkan bentuks teks narrative,dan satu orang dalam bentuk teks desriptif,responden yang berhasil mencapai kriteria dalam generic structure teks narrative ada empat responden,sisanya tidak berhasil mencapai kriteria pada  bagian re-orientation, sedangkan satu responden pada jenis teks desritif berhasil mencapai semua kriteria dalam teks tersebut,Sementara itu,strategi  yag teindikasi, dari enam strategi, pada  tiga strategi; discussing with the teachers, using WH questions, reinforcing by sharing  new experiences adalah strategi yang  lebih terserap oleh mahasiswa tertentu yang memiliki sifat self-confidence dan minat yang tinggi dalam belajar bahasa Inggris, lebh lanjut,language features (penggunaan tenses, pilihan kata kerja, adverb, sentences structure,penggunaan bahasa, media) adalah masih menjadi factor utama  yang menjadi penentu kemampuan menulis mahasiswa meningkat atau tidak, sedangkan dalam composition skills (predraft,plan,darft,revise) juga masih harus diperkenalkan lebih sering dalam proses menulis di kelas, sehingga kemampuan menulis mahasiswa menjadi meningkat.

AN ANALYSIS  OF STUDENTS’  WRITING RPODUCT OF D3
ACCOUNTING STUDENTS IN SAMARINDA STATE OF POLYTECNIC

This study aims to analyze the results of students’ writing  product and the strategies indicated in the writing process. Observation data (field notes), interviews and documentation are data sources, while the respondents are nine persons. The treatment in the writing process is divided into three stages, the first stage, respondents are asked to find vocabulary in the Basic Engish 1 module that has been determined, then asked to make simple sentences, the second treatment, the vocabulary collected are, then to  make a short story in one paragraph, then the third treatment, with randomized  vocabularies and added with other vocabulary, then make a story again. The results of the writing data were analyzed by using Langan's theory (2008) and strategies in the writing process using the theory of Mohammadi, Abidin, Fong (2012). There were four respondents who succeeded in achieving the criteria ON the generic structure of narrative text, the rest are failed to reach the criteria in the re-orientation section, while one respondent ON the descriptive text type is successfully to achieve all the criteria of generic structure of descriptive text. Meanwhile, the indicated strategies, that are  from the six strategies suggested, the  three strategies; discussed with the teachers, using WH questions, reinforcing by sharing new experiences ate those strategies that is more absorbed by certain students who have self-confidence and high interest in learning English, furthermore, language features (use of tenses, choice of verbs, adverbs, sentences structure, language use, media) are still the main factors that determine whether students' writing skills increase or not, while composition skills (pre-draft, plan, draft, revise) also still have to be introduced more often in the writing process in class, so that students' writing skills will increase.
